We crawl and score every business on the web continuously. The scorer pulls each site's homepage, parses on-page content, JSON-LD structured data, and meta tags, then runs the same AEO scoring engine that powers our paid products at engagemii.com/aeo. Each business gets one overall 0-10 score plus six on-page sub-scores.
On top of the on-page score, every record now carries six off-page authority signals measured from public web-scale sources: backlinks, domain authority, reference presence, news and press, community discussion, and social mentions, blended into a single authority score. Our research on 16,757 verified AI recommendations shows on-page structure and off-page authority together are what separate the brands AI names from the ones it never mentions.
We also log every AI bot visit (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Applebot, AmazonBot, Meta AI) across our network, over 141.8 million reads and counting, and tie those hits to the business profiles they read. The aiBotHitsTotal and aiBotsSeen columns show which businesses AI engines are already ingesting, a demand signal you cannot get anywhere else.
Businesses are classified into 20 canonical categories, 100+ granular industries, and a B2B/B2C/Mixed audience type. The detectedPlatform column tells you the stack (Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, etc.) so you can filter to the platforms you know.
